WHAT IS DUROMETER?

Shore Durometer is the international standard for the hardness measurement of rubber, plastic and other non-metallic materials. Durometers are described in the American Society for Testing and Material specification ASTM D2240, which is the recognized specification for the instrument and testing procedures. There are a number of brands of durometer measuring devices, all of which must conform to the same ASTM specifications to be certified calibrated for use. Sometimes a durometer scale of measurement may be referred to by its’ brand name. The “A” scale (or type A) is the most commonly referenced form of measurement for neoprene hardness.

At Kellett Enterprises, we have pads in 2 shore “A” durometer catagories:.
